That's what friends are for. Aber das ist auch, wofür die Kunst (im besten Falle) da ist: Fragen aufwerfen, Anstöße geben, Freude bereiten. Wunderbar.
[Links wie immer in den Titelzeilen]
Und dann zeig' mir dein Essen, was du machst
Deine Füsse sind am Meer
Du bist in love mit deinen neuen Nike Air
Komm, erzähl' mir von New Yorker Taxis
To all my friends, present past and beyond
Especially those who weren't with us too long
Life is the most precious thing you can lose
While you were here, the fun was never ending
Laugh a minute was only the beginning
Canton, Colvin, Nichols, this one's for you
Ever get the feeling you can't go on
Just remember whose side it is that you're on
You've got friends with you 'til the end
If you're ever in a tough situation
We'll be there with no hesitation
Brotherhood's our rule we cannot bend
Ne Tüte Wing üs Plastikbecher
Et Bier es zimmerwärm
Danze mir op de Dächer
Un luure uns de Sonnopjangk aan
Nix he bes op uns
Un die Sonn, Mond un Stääne
Ming Jitta un ding Stimm
Sin die schönste Symphonie
Mer fiere et Levve
Dat hält uns zosamme
Dat weed uns keiner nemme
Mer fiere et Levve
Dat weed niemols verjonn
Gute Freunde sind nie allein
Weil sie eines im Leben können
Für einander da zu sein
Laß doch die andern reden
Was kann denn schon geschehn
Wir wollen heut und morgen
Nicht auseinander geh'n
Gute Freunde kann niemand trennen
Gute Freunde sind nie allein
Weil sie eines im Leben können
Für einander da zu sein
Glück kannst du leicht vertragen
Wenn dir die Sonne scheint
Aber in schweren Tagen
Da brauchst du einen Freund
So no one told you life was gonna be this way
Your job's a joke, you're broke
Your love life's DOA
It's like you're always stuck in second gear
When it hasn't been your day, your week, your month
Or even your year, but
I'll be there for you
(When the rain starts to pour)
I'll be there for you
(Like I've been there before)
I'll be there for you
('Cause you're there for me too)
I can't wait to get away from you
Unsurprisingly, you hate me, too
We only communicate when we need to fight
But we're best friends, right?
You're too good at pretending you don't care
There's enough resentment in the air
You don't want me in the flat when you're home at night
But we are best friends, right?
You're Stephanie and I'm Paulette
You know what all my faces mean
And it's easy to smoke it up, forget
Everything that happened in between
Here I sit so fucking shy
Wondering what's going through your mind
Or what you're even like
As time ticks quickly by
A life so short, incomplete
So many people I'd like to meet
Feeling awkward, afraid
Potential friends I could've made
Why do we keep to ourselves
And not dare to leave our fucking shells
Let our feelings and emotions blend
We could be the best of friends
If anything was broken I'm sure it could be mended
My head can't tolerate this bobbing and pretending
Listen to some bullet-head and the madness that he's saying
This is where the party ends
I'll just sit here wondering how you
Can stand by your racist friend
I know politics bore you
But I feel like a hypocrite talking to you
You and your racist friend
Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend, Freunde.
